You get a Stasis Device, and YOU get a Stasis Device!

[post_ads]One player in No Man’s Sky will soon set out with a shipload of the game’s most ludicrously valuable items. The plan? Drop them on unsuspecting travelers in multiplayer. At 18 million credits each, receiving even one or two items would be a big boost to those still plowing through the early portion of the game.
Redditor Long_Nose_Jim seems to have hit the motherlode. They’ve been able to build 215 Stasis Devices, currently the most expensive item in the game. Each one is worth 18 million credits. Stacked five deep on their starship, that’s a stockpile worth more than 3.8 billion credits.
Now, they’ve decided to share the wealth.

“Spent the last 2 weeks filling one of my haulers,” they write. “Now its [sic] time to give these all away!”
To put that into perspective, your top-of-the-line freighter — a massive floating starbase that players can move around the universe with a fleet of support ships — will only run you around 30 million. A full load of Stasis Devices is good for about 125 of them.
No Man’s Sky has been glued to the Steam best-sellers list since late last month, when the massive Next update landed. Much of the in-game economy requires credits, which can be earned buying and selling resources found on planets. Another popular way to earn credits early on is to harvest alien eggs, but that process can be pretty dangerous.

As players progress, they unlock new hyperdrives that allow them to access unique star systems. Once there, you can build a base for fast travel. With a beachhead established, many players harvest rare resources to manufacture goods for sale at space stations. The most expensive goods require the scarcest resources, which in turn require the best engines to reach the most exotic star systems. Even then, prospecting will take a bit of patience and a lot of luck.
Bumping into someone like Long_Nose_Jim can solve that problem.
Check out the thread on Reddit, where it’s likely that some interesting tales will emerge as space Santa Claus makes his way around the galaxy.
