Firewatch will finally launch on Nintendo Switch on Dec. 17, Campo Santo told fans in a tweet yesterday evening. It will be available in all regions via the Nintendo eShop.
Camp Santo originally announced the
port in April, saying then that it would be coming “soon.” Work on the
Switch adaptation was expected to carry over into optimizations for all
the other platforms the game launched on (PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One) back in 2016.
Firewatch,
the story of a man who joins the U.S. Forest Service during the
wildfire season of 1989 and unravels a mystery in Wyoming’s Shoshone
National Forest. It launched in February 2016 and later won several
awards, including Best Indie Game by the 2016 Golden Joystick Awards.
